·       Our very own Jim Waltenberger has felt the call to pursue formal studies in Orthodox theology.  He is in the process of applying to take St. Stephen's Course in Orthodox Theology, a three-year, distance-

education-based, certificate program.  The course is aimed at introducing laity and clergy alike to the richness of Orthodox theology through rigorous and extensive readings and practical ministry projects.  Students also receive in-person instruction during a one-week summer residency.  Completion of this three year program is the next step toward Jim becoming a deacon.  We are proud of his growth and progress during the six years he's been at St. Thomas.  Tuition is $450 per semester.  Anyone who feels led to contribute to Jim's school and/or vestment expenses can do so by labeling your gift for Jim W.  He is a beloved, hard-working member of our family, and we all pray God's blessings on this next step of his journey.

·       Fall Bible Study addresses "Praying with the Saints" and continues on Novnber 5th, 7pm at Steve and Rose Yovanovich's house, 446 Stratford in Fairlawn.  This will be a time of learning as well as sharing of ourselves.

·       Hospice of the Western Reserve  is holding a volunteer education series on Thursday evenings running from October 4th to November 15 at 6 to 9 pm.  The address is 150 Springside Dr., A-100, Fairlawn.  For information call 330-800-2245.

Property Maintenance  There are many small landscaping projects that need to be completed on the property and this fall would be an ideal time.  Very reasonable estimates for these projects have been submitted by our lawn service, Fast Trak Lawns.  Please consider donating toward a specific beautification of our property.  See Annie Fry or Rich Zahoranski.
