ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • A big THANK YOU to all who helped out with the spaghetti buffet 2 weeks ago.   Everyone worked so hard to get the job done, especially those guys in the kitchen doing the dishes! It was a successful event and the new format will work better in the long run.  But we need your help!  Please consider working the June buffet.  It is only once more month until summer hiatus and your helping hands would make it so much easier for all of us.  The buffet runs from 4:30 till 7, not 8 like the fish fry and the format is the same as the fish fry was.  Please don't let Joanne run her tootsies off another month! Sign up to help!  See Annie Fry or call 330-714-9844.
  • Rummage Sale!: Don't forget to complete your spring cleaning  for our rummage sale.  Time to break out your spatulas and cookie sheets and get baking for the accompanying bake sale.  Baked goods can be brought to church on Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday morning. Details for the rummage sale are as follows: Date: May 19th 9am to 3pm  - no early birds! There will be a Food Concession of hot dogs and sausages. For Rummage Donations,  contact Jim and Robin Waltenberger at 330-769-5696 or rwaltenberger@gmail.com. For Bake Sale Donations, contact Annie Fry at 330-714-9844 or afry8@roadrunner.com. Volunteers and goods are still needed!! We need some help for the moving of current goods from basement to hall on May 12 after coffee hour. Additional help is needed on May 17 and 18 for set up, and help is also needed during the sale itself.

  • Save the date:  Vacation Church School will be held from August 6 - 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon for Kindergarten through 6th grade at St. George Antiochian Church, 3204 Ridgewood Road, Fairlawn.  More information on registration will be provided in subsequent bulletins.
  • ST. LUKE'S STRIKES AGAIN!  Heartfelt thanks to Steve Hartman of St. Luke's for his generous work on our behalf this week.  Our phone system had gone down several weeks ago and we were anticipating having to purchase a slightly used system to replace it.  But thanks to Steve, no expenditure is necessary.  He rerouted the line and replaced our old phones with slightly used ones that look like new!  We are again able to receive calls at the church and hall. Yay!
