• Welcome Bishop Daniil:  There will be vespers on Saturday, April 21st at 5:00pm with His Grace Bishop Daniil officiating. A pot luck supper will follow, so please bring a dish and join us in welcoming His Grace.
• St. Thomas Day: Sunday, April 22nd is St. Thomas Day. His Grace Bishop Daniil will be officiating a Hierarchal Liturgy at 10am. A covered dish event is planned after liturgy in the main hall for fellowship and to provide everyone an opportunity to greet His Grace.  Please bring your favorite covered dish to share.  Meat will be provided.
• Prayers Needed: Father Vlado is having shoulder surgery on Tuesday, April 17th at Akron General Medical Center in Akron.  Please keep Father in your prayers. Also, please pray for the continued recovery of our sister, Lenni Mitov.
• Thank You's: Thanks to Jean and Alex Sombaty and to Kari Sheehan for their generous donations to the Bake Sale efforts for new pans and a cart for the dough roller. Also, thanks to the bakers (they know who they are) for all their help in this year's Easter baking.  We grossed over $1200! Great job everyone!!
• Bake Sale: Please mark April 20 and 21 on your calendar for our small bake sale running during the Pollywogs to Frogs Consignment Sale on those days.  We need cookies and individual pastries for this sale as well as some homemade pies.  Let Annie Fry know what you will be baking for the sale, 330-328-5393.  Items may be dropped off after Wednesday at the hall. There will be baking on the church kitchen on Wednesday if you would like to bake your items at church.  There will be a sign up sheet at coffee hour to sign up to work the sale on Friday and Saturday.

• Holy Week Services: Monday April 9^th – Presanctified Liturgy – 6 pm

                                    Tuesday April 10^th – Presanctified Liturgy – 6 pm

                                    Wednesday April 11^th – Presanctified Liturgy – 6pm 

                                    followed by the Service for Holy Unction     

                                    Thursday April 12^th – The Holy Passion of our Lord with  

                                     the Reading of the 12 Gospels – 6 pm

                                    Friday April 13^th (Good Friday) – Royal Hours and

                                    Vespers – 10am, Lamentations – 6pm

                                     *Following Lamentations, we will be taking a group of children and adults to other Orthodox churches in the Akron and Cleveland area in order to observe how others prepare their tombs and to pay our respects. This trip usually gets back to St Thomas between midnight and 1 am.

                                    Saturday April 14^th - Divine Liturgy – 9am, Nocturns and

                                    Divine Liturgy followed by the Blessing of Baskets – 11pm

                                    * Please remember to bring a dozen colored eggs and a loaf of Pascha bread for Saturday evening after the service.       

                                    Sunday, April 15^th (Pascha) – Agape Service – 11am                              

• Memorial Service : The Karos family is having a memorial service and coffee hour today for brother and uncle Tom Karos
• Pascha Flowers: There is a sign up sheet downstairs (small hall) if you would like to purchase Pascha Flowers in Memory of or for the Health of loved ones. The cost is $15.00. Please sign up as soon as possible and give the money to Popadia Kim, or you can pay at the candle table. Checks can be made out to St Thomas Church.
• Guarding the Tomb –There is a sign up sheet downstairs (small hall) for Guarding the Tomb. Please sign up for an hour (or several!)
